OpsRamp provides sample training files that you can use as templates to create your own alert management training files. These samples contain predefined fields and example data for configuring both First Response and Alert Escalation policies.

Using these files as a starting point helps ensure proper formatting and correct attribute usage.

Prerequisites

• You must have administrative access to the desired client.
• You should know whether you are configuring a First Response or Alert Escalation policy.

Steps to Download a Sample Training File

1. From the OpsRamp portal, navigate to All Clients and select the required client.
2. Go to Setup > Alerts.
3. Choose one of the following policy types:
   • Alert Escalation
   • First Response
4. On the respective policies page, click the + icon to add a new policy.
5. Depending on the selected policy type:
   • For Alert Escalation:
     • Scroll to the Import Dataset and Train Model section.
     • Click the link Alert_Escalation_Training_Example.csv to download the sample file.
   • For First Response:
     • Choose either Suppress specific alerts or Snooze specific alerts for a given time.
     • Click the link Alert_First_Response_Training_File_Example.csv to download the sample file.

The downloaded file can be opened in any spreadsheet application and used as a baseline for defining your custom training logic.
